A person who seeks knowledge tends to act with greater rationality. He approaches the many influences of daily life with skepticism and critical thought. In an abstract composition, one way to symbolize reason is through rigid and straight forms. Contrasting with his strict rationality are his emotions—especially when he is in love and must reconcile these two sides of his character. In this work, I combined more rigid, “logical” abstract shapes with their opposites—dynamic and fluid forms. Both types are rendered in vivid, joyful colors.
