This vibrant artwork, The King of Life, captures the essence of joy and creativity through bold colors and abstract expression. Depicting a musician immersed in his music, the painting blends psychedelic patterns and emotional imagery, symbolizing the celebration of life, art, and the inner power of music.

The inspiration for creating this piece came from an incident with the depicted guitarist. He is a friend of mine, and I asked him to pose because I wanted to paint a guitarist.

What I saw, however, was beyond my expectations: as soon as he picked up his guitar and began to play, he became a different person from the one before. With the guitar in his hands, he was ecstatic; his true self had surfaced, as if he had suddenly cast aside all the conventions and constraints of life imposed by the struggle for survival.

It was clear that for my friend, his relationship with music and the guitar was so magical that it was the reason why, throughout his life, he never cared about making a lot of money or seeking fame.
He wanted nothing to taint what made him feel so free and so authentically himself.
In the same spirit, I decided to render, as best as I could, the expression on his face and, through symbols, everything that had preoccupied him in his life.
That is how I came to name the work The King of Life — because only when someone finds their true self, free from conventions and acquired choices, do they become the king of their own life.
